Formula D Series events and places
Formula D Racing, also known as Formula Drifting is a sport that is rapidly gaining popularity. There Not so long ago – just a few years – it was introduced in North America with the Pro Racing adrift. This organization is run also known as the Formula Drift Championship. This race comprises about 50 drivers competing for the right to be called the United States drifting champion. Like any other pro races, they have some place in different cities at various race tracks pro.
Like all races other professionals, you will see that this is not an easy task to identify all the competition venues, which is also true for Formula Series D The main reason is that they keep changing all the time. In the future, you expect to see additional sites being added as the drift continues to grow in popularity and becoming a regular sport. But if you want to learn more about the places that have been used in Form D, choose a season and focus on these particular places. We'll watch the season championship in 2006.
One of the sites is located in Sonoma, California. The name of this track is Infineon Raceway. Because of where it is located, it is becoming increasingly popular. The location is in San Francisco – Only 28 miles away from Golden Gate Bridge. In addition to Formula D, it also hosts the IndyCar Series, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, National Hot Rod and American Motorcycle Association NHRA Division 7. This is a year – round complex open 340 days and 50 weekends per year with 1.5 million visitors each year pass through its doors.
Formula D also takes place at Road Atlanta. As its name suggests, it is located in Atlanta, Georgia. He is known internationally as one of the tracks bonus race in North America. Road Management Atlanta not resting on their laurels and continue to improve the runway. With the renovations in 2004 they added one more round just Horseshoe for Formula D events. In Irwindale, the event held at the Irwindale Speedway. On the wall, the action takes place in the Reserve Air Force Wall Speedway. In Long Beach, the event is allowed in the streets of Long Beach. Some of these events take place at well known tracks and others in city streets or parking lots.
As we have already said, the sites mentioned above were on the 2006 calendar of Formula D. In recent years, additional tracks may be added or some of the former excluded. If you are serious about venturing to a live event, we suggest you make sure your race calendar is updated with the latest information available via the website of Formula D.
