Nascar flags
NASCAR flags have been as long as the sport of racing itself. Before there were two-way radios in cars Nascar Racing, the only method of communication with the pilots during the action of the race was extremely hard to use flags color. These large colorful flags to attract the attention of drivers and are easy to see.
Nearly every racing series uses the same combination of colors of the flag. NASCAR drivers can see the status of the race watching the flag. Like the traffic lights at an intersection to allow traffic drivers to know what to do, flags to communicate the conditions of the race for NASCAR drivers. NASCAR Flags are usually waved by a flagman on a platform at the line of departure / arrival. Here's what the different colored flags mean:
Green Flag: The green flag is used to signal the start of the race or a race restart. Green means that the track is clear and can continue Racing Cars.
Yellow flag Nascar This flag is used to report an accident, debris on the track, mechanical failure or bad weather. The yellow flag means that the track is unclear. It alerts motorists to slow down and maintain their position. Pilots are allowed to group behind the leader. A yellow flag during a practice race means racing cars should go to their pit stop immediately.
Red Flag: The red flag means that the track is dangerous and there is a situation that requires immediate attention of NASCAR officials. All race cars must stop. The red flag is waved in general case heavy rain or an accident that requires medical attention. A red flag may also mean that the runway is blocked by debris or a car rugged. A red flag during the closing laps of a race can also be waved for the race ends under good conditions.
White Flag: The white flag means that NASCAR is a round remaining in the race.
Checkered Flag: The familiar black and white checkered flag: the race is completed.
