Say you get into your friends car. Your friend pulls up next to someone who revvs their engine and displays a ‘race me’ attitude. Your friend obliges.
The cars streak down the street, your friend looses control and slams into a telephone pole. You are airlifted to the nearest hospital, and end up on the critial list for six months with a broken spine (which means you will never walk again). You also have brain damage and can’t remember chunks of your life. You will need personal medical care for the rest of your life…
Do you belive that because this was an ‘accident’ and you MADE the choice to get into your friends car, he/she should face lieniency? Do you think guilt is enough? Should punishment be any diffrent if you say, only came out of the accident with a few scratches?

if he had proper insurance they would pay your bills. A lawyer would take that case on a percentage basis. It would be an easy win unless he is uninsured and has no income. Your freind made the choice to drag race and it is their responsibility. The driver is responsible for the safety of their passengers.
